Gym Rules and Etiquette

Here are a few gym rules we adhere to at Seven Devils CrossFit that best reflect our gym’s culture and allows us to foster a fun, safe, clean, and respectful training environment for everyone in our community.

Community First

Welcome New Members: You were once the new kid on the block. Remember when you didn’t know what an AMRAP stood for or where to ab mats were located? Our community is what sets up apart from any other gym. Please introduce yourself to newer members and help them get acquainted with our community.

No One Left Behind: Your WOD isn’t finished until the last member in your class is finished. If you complete your workout before someone else, cheer them on!

Safety

Respect Your Coach: Please pay attention when the coach is explaining the workout and movements. We ask that you refrain from loading barbells, grabbing equipment, or practicing movements when the coach is instructing.

Kids and Barbells Don’t Mix: We love our 7DCF kids, but we want them to be safe. All children require adult supervision. Unless invited by a coach, children are not allowed on the gym floor or equipment at any time.

Ghostriding is Never Cool: Please stay in control of your barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, or any weight you are moving. Do not drop lightweight barbells from overhead.

Don’t Suffer in Silence: If you are injured please let us know! Remember, we can scale any movement, but only you know how your body feels. Train smart!

Hygiene

Clean Up Your DNA: Please clean up your sweat, blood, puke.

Don’t Be A Smelly Nelly: Please wear deodorant.

Equipment and Facility

Don’t Drop Empty Barbells: Please do not drop unloaded barbells. This causes serious damage to our equipment.

Speak Up: We love our facility and we want you to as well. If something is broken or needs our attention, please let us know.

Training

Be Positive: We believe that anything is possible with hard work and determination. Be optimistic, have fun, learn something new, and push yourself and others to do their best!
